Minesweeper
How to play
Open every square without a mine to win. Each number counts the mines touching that square, including diagonally.
Switch Flag on to mark a covered square. Tap it again to remove the flag. Switch Flag off to reveal squares.
All three modes use a phone-sized 9 × 9 board: Beginner has 10 mines, Intermediate 15 and Expert 20. Your first opening is safe.
Keyboard: Tab to the board. Use arrow keys to move, Enter or Space to act, and F to flag. You can also right-click a square to toggle its flag.
Stuck?
If a number has all its mines correctly flagged, its other covered neighbours are safe. Flags are your notes, so check them before opening a square.
Some boards need a guess. Try Beginner for fewer mines, or New game for a fresh board at the current difficulty. Progress is not saved when you reload or leave the page.
